Seller Description

This 1999 BMW Z3 2.8 coupe was purchased new by the current owner from Peter Pan Motors in San Mateo, California, and it has traveled 154k miles during registration history in the same state. The car is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes aftermarket 17″ alloy wheels, a sunroof, woodgrain interior trim, a BMW Business CD stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning. Work completed between 2019 and 2020 involved rebuilding the dual VANOS unit and replacing the radiator, water pump, valve cover assembly, clutch, flywheel, and various transmission seals. This Z3 coupe is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with a window sticker, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The car is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (309) and features a power-operated glass sunroof, fog lights, flared wheel arches, a rear window wiper, front fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes the presence of rock chips on the front.

Aftermarket 17″ alloy wheels are mounted with Continental Extreme Contact Sport Plus tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated front rotors.

The cabin features two bucket seats trimmed in black leather, and wood trim adorns the center stack and shifter. Interior details include cruise control, an onboard computer, bright door sill accents, air conditioning, a BMW Business CD stereo, and a Harman Kardon sound system.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 155-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,200-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 154k miles, all of which were added during current ownership.

The 2.8-liter M52TUB28 inline-six was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 206 lb-ft of torque. Work completed between 2019 and 2020 involved rebuilding the dual VANOS unit and replacing the water pump, radiator, thermostat, valve cover assembly, and windshield washer fluid pump.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. Work completed in November 2020 involved replacing the clutch, flywheel, transmission detents, rear main seal, and selector rod seal along with the input and output shaft seals.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Peter Pan Motors in San Mateo, California, and lists factory colors, equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $39,350.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.

Very cool that it seems to have had just one owner.  It's had some maintenance work the past few years, and the Apex wheels look good. Bidding up to $5,000.00 so far
