Seller Description

2000 BMW Z3 Coupe 2.8 Liter Engine with Low original miles (79,000)  Excellent  Condition

This car is the rare factory hard top version of the Z3 sports car.  This car runs excellent.  It has its original "Jet Black" exterior color paint and its original motor and  5 speed manual transmission.  A/C blows nice and cold.   "Dark Beige" leather interior is in excellent condition.  This Z3 has the tinted moon roof option and heated power seats.  This car has always been kept in a garage.  Never abused or put on the track.  The only modification is a JVC Ipod ready CD player installed.  Other than this and a replaced battery and tires this car is as originally purchased.  Clear title with recent Smog certificate.  Clean Car Fax.

I am only the third owner of this car.  I've owned this car since 2008.  I've put about 12,000 miles on it in about 6 1/2 years so that's less than 2,000 miles per year.  I own several other sports cars and motorcycles that I drive.   This car was used as a semi Sunday driver in rotation with other vehicles. This car has always been stored in a garage.   It is an amazingly fun car to drive and hugs tight corners like a race car with very little lean and has great acceleration. There are no issues mechanically. This car is ready to drive and enjoy.

The interior is in near new condition (except floor mats), no rips or tears on the upholstery.  The leather is just starting to show some rub wear on the left hip pad on the drivers seat, the rest of the seat and the passenger seat look like new.  I'd say the upholtery is a 9 out of 10.

Paint is in excellent condition and has a very glossy finish.  As is common with cars with original paint and this many miles, the worst exterior condition is on the front hood and spoiler area where there are some scratches and micro pebble chips.  The worst scratches are two shallow surface scratches on the hood approximately 4" to 6" long.  One small door ding less than 1/2" in diameter on driver's side.  Some curb rash on the rims and under the front spoiler.  The bumper areas front and rear are very nice with no obvious scratches and no damage.  Overall other than the two scratches on the hood and the one door ding, this is a very nice dent and scratch free body.  I'd say 7.5 to 8 out of 10.

CARFAX and AutoCheck show no accidents, correct odometer reading and clear title.  There were two previous owners.  The first owner purchased the car on a lease in southern California.  Afterwards the car was bought back by the leasing company and sold to a dealer and bought by the second owner.  I bought the car from the 2nd owner who lived in Placerville CA.   Soon after purchasing I noticed the air bag light was on.  This is a common occurrence on Z3s and usually involves replacing a sensor.

Please ask if you have any questions prior to buying, I will be happy to answer any questions about this car. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. Looks pretty nice overall, but could use a good detailing. I think the price is fair.
